The initials of the designer and sculpture are presented diagonally, tracing the neckline of the eagle. The inscriptions on the reverse side include the country of issue, face value, weight, purity, and the motto of America. These inscriptions are: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “5 DOLLARS”, “1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD,” and the motto “E PLURIBUS UNUM IN GOD WE TRUST.”
